Malacca Trip - 1 June to 2 June 2011

Yesterday morning, 25 students of 3G and 22 students of 3H left EDP at around 7am. After clearing the customs and a breakfast stopover at Gelang Patah, we reached Malacca town at around 11am.

Our first stop was at the legendary Hang Tuah's well, followed by lunch. After a very nice meal of Peranakan food, we visited the Sri Rama Orphanage which was set up more than 30 years ago. After a short interaction and tour of the home, we visited other historical places in Malacca, such as A'Farmosa and the 258-year old Christchurch.

After dinner, we finally checked into our hotel rooms for a very nice warm bath and a good rest. The hotel rooms are fantastic with superb facilities. By then, most of the children were very tired and fell asleep even before the 10pm lights off time.

After waking up at 6am, they got ready to check out of the hotel. We had a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, and are now on the way to Kampung Penghulu, which was voted last year as the No. 1 best homestay in Malaysia.
